Below, we’ve answered some of our most frequently asked questions. However, if you have an inquiry that isn’t addressed here, we encourage you to ask our friendly staff.

What Information Should I Bring with Me?

To make your visit to our veterinary clinic as easy as possible, be sure to bring the proper documentation with you. First, make sure to bring any adoption paperwork, if applicable to your pet. This will give our team a clear idea of what vaccinations they’ve already had and which they still need. If your pet is currently taking any medications or supplements, make note of those as well. In most cases, it’s easiest just to bring the medicines to our clinic with you. Writing down your questions ahead of time so you don’t forget any is also a good idea.

What Are Your Hours?

We strive to make our services accessible to you with flexible hours. On Monday through Friday, we’re open to appointments between of 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. We’re also open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. De Anza Veterinary Clinic is closed on Sundays, and we reserve the right to close on select holidays.

What Services Do You Provide?

At De Anza Veterinary Clinic, we’re proud to provide a wide range of veterinary services for pets of all kinds. Some of our most commonly-requested services include the following:

  • Animal Dentistry: We can take care of bad breath and periodontal disease in dogs and cats before the problem becomes more serious.
  • Pet Surgery: On occasion, some pets are best treated with surgery. We can recommend and perform laser, soft-tissue, and orthopedic surgery.
  • Vaccinations: Protect your pet against disease with a thorough vaccine schedule.
  • Spay and Neuter Services: If it’s time to get your pet fixed, our team can spay or neuter your pet humanely.

Which Kinds of Animals Can You Treat?

Our team has the skills and knowledge to treat nearly any type of pet you may have. We provide exceptional care to dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, and rodents.

Is Heartworm and Flea Prevention Necessary Year-Round?

To ensure your pet is fully protected against heartworms and fleas, prevention is crucial year-round. In dogs, heartworm disease is becoming more and more common. Our team would be happy to help you start your dog on a heartworm prevention regimen. Dogs and cats alike are vulnerable to fleas and ticks. To ensure their safety, we encourage you to use oral or topical medications to prevent or eliminate ticks.

Do You Offer Discounts?

The team at our vet center wants to make veterinary services as affordable as possible. You see your pets as family members, and we know many pet owners will spare no expense. However, that doesn’t mean you should have to spend an arm and a leg for exceptional care. At De Anza Veterinary Clinic, we offer a 50% discount for initial pet health exams, so you can look after your pet without draining your bank account. Keep in mind you must mention this discount at your first visit. The discount may not apply to every pet.

Do I Need an Appointment?

We offer doctor’s hours by appointment. Be sure to call ahead or use our contact form to find out if your ideal time is available.

How Long Are Wait Times?

Unfortunately, we cannot give an accurate estimate of wait times. While we strive to see you and your pet right at your appointment time, sometimes extenuating circumstances stop up from being as timely as we’d like. Rest assured, we do everything possible to ensure your pet is seen on time by one of our experienced team members.

What Should I Do in an Emergency?

In any emergency associated with your pet’s health, visit an emergency vet center right away. Make sure to read up on symptoms of severe conditions, such as heartworm disease, and be prepared in the event of an emergency. After you receive initial treatment, our team can provide services such as pain management and parasite prevention.
